Module H – Honor:
Recognizing that relationships are key to success, this session will provide a framework and tools to honor the voice, experience and history of the clients. Creative engagement tools like the Bio Poem and Value Mining will be used to explore personality, choices, and history. The session will draw on tools already available like Real Colors.
Module O – Opportunity:
Recognizing that clients may not imagine a future and may not be aware of the supports available to them, this session will provide a framework and tools to open the clients to the future, to opportunities and to supports. Creative engagement tools like Visioning and Asset Mapping will be introduced. The session will draw on techniques already available like motivational interviewing.
Module P – Perspective:
Recognizing that clients may be trapped in the narrative of a single story, this session will provide a framework and tools for introducing multiple perspectives. Attention will be paid to recognizing a fixed mindset and moving clients to a growth mindset. Tools like Forecasting and Backcasting will be introduced. The session will draw on participants’ understanding of adolescent brain development.
Module E – Engagement:
Recognizing the importance of moving clients to action, this session will provide tools and techniques to support clients in committing to action. The session will explore the barriers to action and how barriers to action can be connected to the clients’ lived experiences. Tools like the accountability pathway and action commitments will be introduced. The session will draw on participants’ understanding of trauma informed care
